The mission of the Glacier County Public Health Emergency Preparedness Program is to plan for and respond to public health emergency and disaster events within Glacier County.
Public Health emergencies disrupt hundreds of thousands of lives every year. The threat of infectious diseases can happen anytime. Public health emergencies come with vector-borne diseases, such as West Nile Virus, food borne illness like E. Coli, and vaccine-resistant illness such as Tuberculosis, or an extremely virulent flu strain. Glacier County Health Department partners with other agencies to coordinate a response system for the well being of the citizens of Glacier County.
You should be ready to be self-sufficient for at least three days, this means providing for your own shelter, first aid, food, water, and sanitation.

Preparedness Minutes are video clips describing actions to take in emergency situations, whether they are at work or at home. Some of the videos will be reminders, others will present new information. Ultimately these videos will help you be prepared for an emergency or disaster.
